The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is proposing once-a-year COVID-19 shots for most Americans.
The proposal comes as boosters largely have been rejected. Only 16% of those eligible have received the latest boosters authorized in August, according to The Associated Press.
The FDA's panel of outside vaccine experts is slated to weigh in at a meeting Thursday.
