Posted online

More than $19 million in high-end homes were listed in April, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 24 single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That compares with 23 in March, 24 in February and 19 in January.

The owners of the homes listed last month are seeking $19.4 million in their combined asking prices. That's the largest aggregate of 2024 to date, topping the previous high of $17.8 million set in February.

The highest-priced residence of the month, at nearly $2 million, is for a home on the 18th tee box in Highland Springs Country Club. The 4083 E. Eaglescliffe Drive residence has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and spans more than 7,700 square feet.

During April, the average sale price for homes in the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors' service area was $298,741, up from $281,461 in the same month last year. Year over year, total units sold rose to 541 from 489, according to GSBOR data.

The average price statewide in March was $292,427, up from $277,887 a year earlier, according to the latest Missouri Realtors association data.
