Curb Appeal: $12M in high-end homes listed in November

More than $12 million worth of high-end homes were listed on the market last month.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 19 single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That compares with 29 in October and 16 in September.

Combined, the homeowners who put their houses on the market for sale last month are seeking $12.2 million, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

At $950,000, the highest-priced home of the month is a house just south of far East Cherry Street at 703 S. Hickory Drive.

During November, the average sale price for homes in the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors' service area was $292,213, and 420 units were sold. That compares with 466 units sold at an average pr ice of $266,360 in November 2022.

The latest data from the Missouri Realtors association show 5,957 residential properties sold in October at an average price of $295,985. The price figure increased 4.8% year over year, according to a news release.
