Croley Insurance & Financial Inc. expanded with a new office outside city limits.
Kelli Stanton, marketing director for the Springfield insurance company, said a Mount Vernon office opened July 1. Signage was installed last week at the 224 S. Main St. location, she said.
Croley Insurance is occupying 1,200 square feet of newly renovated space in a building shared with Grey Oak Financial. Stanton declined to disclose lease terms with building owner Justin Patterson of Grey Oak Real Estate LLC.
“Our firm has been servicing the area in and around Lawrence County for some time, and we are excited to establish an office in Mount Vernon to provide comprehensive, local service to our clients," Croley Insurance President Trevor Croley said in a news release.
Stanton said the new office represents Croley Insurance's first outside of Springfield in its more than 70-year history. The company operates in Springfield at 3705 E. Battlefield Road, and it previously managed an Anthem marketplace store on Glenstone Avenue, she added.
The Mount Vernon office currently shares staff with the Springfield office, she said, noting new employees likely would be added in the future.
Croley Insurance has 25 employees with 17 agents on staff. The company has around 5,000 local accounts, according to Springfield Business Journal list research.
