U.S. consumer confidence is up in May, according to the latest Conference Board data.
The Conference Board's consumer confidence index rose to 102 from an upwardly revised 97.5 in April.
Respondents were reportedly optimistic about the labor market but worried about persistent inflation and higher interest rates.
