Carthage council committee votes to raze stadium

The Carthage City Council Public Services Committee voted to tear down a historic stadium.

Contractors and experts called on by the committee have said the facility known as Rock Stadium has cracked concrete and is unstable.

The stadium was built in the late 1930s and previously was home to two minor league baseball teams.
