Christina Ford, President and Founder of The Rebound Foundation, discovered that she and her husband, Coach Dana Ford, each had experience with domestic violence growing up. They decided they wanted to do something to stop the cycle of abuse. “I started doing a lot of research on what was needed in the domestic violence community, and housing was a huge need,” says Ford. “And so I said, well, what can we do to try to fill that gap?” The Rebound Foundation’s mission is to support some by giving them a safe and supportive home to escape abusive situations and stop the cycle. Ford is a Springfield Business Journal 2019 Most Influential Women honoree.
