Branson chamber hires veteran banker as next leader

A veteran banker has been hired as the next CEO of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Pamela Yancey, who currently is community bank president for Arvest Bank in the tri-lakes area, is scheduled to start Dec. 4 as president and CEO of the Branson chamber, according to a news release.

“We had a thorough hiring process and believe that Pam Yancey is a wonderful fit for the role,” said Cynthia Carson, Branson chamber board chair, in the release. “Her leadership, business experience and perspective will go a long way toward continuing the success of our community."

Yancey succeeds two-year chamber leader Jason Outman, who exited earlier this year. Jonas Arjes, executive director of the Taney County Partnership and executive vice president and chief economic development officer for the Branson chamber, has led the organization in the interim.

Yancey has more than 30 years of banking industry experience in Branson and southwest Missouri, according to the release. She accepted her current community bank president role for Arvest around 11 years ago.
