Posted online

Branson Bank announced the hiring of a new vice president-level recruit.

Marcus Harmon this month started as vice president of commercial lending, according to a news release. He joins the company from Old Missouri Bank, where he worked eight years, most recently as vice president and loan officer, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“He brings exceptional talent and knowledge to the bank and has a big heart for our community," said Greg Baker, senior vice president for Branson Bank, in the release.

Harmon in 2016 was recognized by Springfield Business Journal in the Trusted Advisers awards as an Up-and-Comer.

He helped found the nonprofit Together Forever: A Skyler Sanders Family Foundation, which provides families going through childhood cancer treatments an all-expenses-paid vacation, according to past reporting.

At Branson Bank, Harmon focuses on building long-term banking relationships in Taney, Stoney and surrounding counties.

Branson Bank has $323 million in assets, according to the release.
