Bonner Springs council approves incentive tool for Mattel theme park

The city council of Bonner Springs, Kansas, has improved an incentive tool for the planned Mattel theme park in Wyandotte County.

The council approved a measure to create a STAR bond district for the development. That's short for sales tax revenue bonds.

The Mattel theme park would anchor a nearly $500 million, 183-acre tourist hub called Destination KCK.
