Ozark-based Big Whiskey's has expansion plans in its home state.
Early summer openings are planned for a restaurant apiece in Lebanon and Neosho, according to a news release. Both would be corporate-owned locations.
"Neosho and Lebanon are growing and developing communities," Big Whiskey’s co-owner Paul Sundy said in the release. "We love being in cities like this where we get to be a part of all of the celebrated moments of life."
The Neosho store is slated to open in a new retail development called Blue Oak Plaza. The location for the Lebanon restaurant was not disclosed in the release, and a Big Whiskey's official did not return a request for comment by deadline.
A Big Whiskey's franchise restaurant opened in October in Poplar Bluff, leading to record-breaking sales per capita for the company, according to the release. The restaurant reportedly generated over $100,000 in sales during its first week.
BLV Whiskey’s LLC signed on as the Poplar Bluff franchisee in 2022, according to past reporting.
Other Big Whiskey's stores are scheduled to open this year in Alabama, Florida and Arkansas. The company's website lists 15 locations.
In summer 2023, Springfield Business Journal reported Big Whiskey’s was ramping up its franchising plans with eight new stores targeted.
Springfield event venue Belamour LLC gained new ownership; The Wok on West Bypass opened; and Hawk Barber & Shop closed on a business purchase that expanded its footprint to Ozark.
