Tim Hager, the leader of the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary since early 2018, submitted his resignation.
Hager, who works as vice president and dean for the embedded seminary of Evangel University, accepted a position at another higher education institution, according to a news release. The institution was not named.
“Tim has played an integral role in the development of AGTS and created a foundation that will continue to impact the church for generations," said George Wood, interim Evangel president, in the release.
Prior to becoming dean of AGTS in January 2018, Hager worked as chief operating officer for the Assemblies of God's national office in Springfield for two years and as an administrator of field operations for the church's ministry work for seven years before that.
A search for his successor at AGTS is slated to begin soon, according to the release. Evangel also is in the search process for a new permanent president.
