American, United extend 737 Max cancellations

American Airlines and United Airlines announced cancellation extensions for flights via Boeing 737 Max jets.

American extended through Nov. 2, two months longer than previously planned. United moved its date back another month to Nov. 3.

The airlines are awaiting recertification of the plane after it was involved in two deadly crashes. The 737 Max jet has been grounded since March 13.
