Posted online

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen has put a six-month moratorium on large-scale data centers within city limits.

The ban is for data centers with electrical demand of at least five megawatts or 100,000 square feet, according to Fox 2 Now.

Under the moratorium, existing data centers are barred from expanding their electrical demand, physical footprint, cooling capacity, backup-generation capacity or operational capacity unless they receive Wentzville Board of Aldermen approval.
