O'Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY) reported improved third-quarter results on the top and bottom lines.
The Springfield-based auto parts retailer posted net income of $725.9 million, a 9.1% increase from $665.5 million a year earlier, according to a news release. Diluted share earnings rose to 85 cents from 76 cents year over year.
Revenue during the company's latest three-month period was $4.7 billion, a 7.8% jump from $4.4 billion in third-quarter 2024.
"We are pleased to report another quarter of solid performance and profitable growth, highlighted by a 5.6% increase in comparable store sales and a 12% increase in diluted earnings per share for the third quarter," O'Reilly Automotive CEO Brad Beckham said in the release. "Our team continues to execute our proven business model at a very high level, generating robust sales growth by delivering share gains on both sides of our business."
O'Reilly Automotive's assets were $16.3 billion as of Sept. 30, and the company had 6,538 stores to end the quarter.
ORLY shares were trading at $99.55 as of 9:28 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $76.22 to $108.72 per share.
