David Robinson, an OpenAI safety leader, resigned from his role at the company.
In an essay, Robinson said the AI company's "unimpeded optimism" had created a dangerous environment for the technology.
"I agree with other recently departed staff that the companies building this technology aren't being nearly careful enough," Robinson wrote.
