Kalshi is suing the state of Missouri in an effort to stop regulations of the company.
Attorney General Catherine Hanaway issued a cease-and-desist letter to Kalshi regarding sporting events on its platform.
In Kalshi's lawsuit, the platform states it can only be regulated by the federal Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
