Description: The Center for Advanced Agricultural & Transportation Technology will be a new 67,000-square-foot preengineered metal building on the State Fair Community College campus. According to project officials, the facility will upgrade the current auto-tech facility for the college as well as the career and technology program for area high school students. It also will provide space for the new agricultural mechanic shop and enable expansion for a heavy diesel mechanic program. The building will include classrooms, offices, program support areas and a student lounge. A portion of the classrooms will be designed as a tornado safe room.
