Description: City Utilities of Springfield commissioned a design for a new water booster pumping station to provide drinking water to customers in the southeast portion of Springfield, according to project officials. It’s part of CU’s long-range water master plan to meet future demands in the growing area. The project consists of a booster pumping station equipped to convey up to 3 million gallons per day. Design is targeted for completion in August and a construction timeline is yet to be determined.
