BKD holds steady on Inside Public Accounting Top 100

Springfield-based BKD LLP ranked 12th on Inside Public Accounting’s annual list of the 100 largest U.S. accounting firms for the third-straight year.

The list released yesterday ranks companies based on revenue.

BKD posted 2015 revenue of $537.6 million, a 7 percent increase, according to IPA. The firm, which operates 34 offices, held a spot in the Top 10 for 12 years until 2013, when it was bumped to No. 12 from No. 10. It peaked at No. 7 in 2001.

BKD was one of two Missouri companies among the Top 20. Kansas City-based Mayer Hoffman McCann PC ranked 10th with $610 million in 2015 revenue.

The top five on the IPA list, with revenue, are:
    •    New York-based Deloitte LLP, $16.1 billion;
    •    New York-based PricewaterhouseCoopers, $12.9 billion;
    •    New York-based Ernst & Young LLP, $11.2 billion;
    •    New York-based KPMG LLP, $7.9 billion; and
    •    Chicago-based RSM US LLP, $1.8 billion.
