Joplin launches homebuyer assistance program

The city of Joplin is launching a new homebuyer assistance program.

Qualifying low- to moderate-income homebuyers could be eligible for up to $40,000 toward a down payment and closing costs.

The program is modeled after the Joplin Homebuyer Assistance Program, or JHAP, which was introduced after the 2011 tornado. The new program is called JHAP2.
