Project description: Plans at the Moxy Hotel call for a 3,300-square-foot rooftop bar and restaurant dubbed The Eyrie. Also in the design plans is a first-floor bar that doubles as the check-in area and, in the basement, over 1,800 square feet for meeting space and a food and beverage concept called The Subterranean. Part of the Marriott International Inc. brand, the boutique hotel features 94 rooms across the eight-story historic building, according to past reporting. Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective is the architect and mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Additional engineering work is by Anderson Engineering Inc., civil, and J&M Engineering LLC, structural.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
