Hope Hicks named White House communications director

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Hope Hicks is the new communications director.

Hicks, a longtime aide to President Donald Trump, has been interim communications director since Anthony Scaramucci was fired in July after 10 days on the job.

Hicks has been a Trump employee since before he launched his presidential campaign in June 2015.
