Eight people, including three incumbents, have filed paperwork by the deadline for the April 2024 Springfield Public Schools Board of Education election.
The seats held by incumbents Scott Crise, board vice president; Danielle Kincaid, board president; and Dr. Maryam Mohammadkhani are up for vote on the April 2 ballot, said SPS spokesperson Teresa Bledsoe. The deadline to file bids for the seats was yesterday.
The candidates who filed paperwork by the deadline, in alphabetical order, are:
• Crise, manager of gas plant operations, Associated Electric Cooperative Inc.
• Kincaid, partner, The Elder Law Group LLC.
• Landon McCarter, co-founder, Secure Agent Marketing.
• Mohammadkhani, retired pathologist.
• Susan Provance, retired teacher and coach.
• Charity Jordan Rex, prevention education coordinator, Harmony House.
• Chad Rollins, chief pharmacist, HealthDirect Pharmacy Services.
• Kyler Sherman-Wilkins, associate professor of sociology, Missouri State University.
Bledsoe said the candidates' petitions must be certified to appear on the April ballot.
