The superintendent of the Ash Grove R-IV School District is heading to Mountain Grove.
Aaron Gerla is scheduled to become superintendent of Mountain Grove Public Schools next summer for the start of the 2024-25 academic year, according to a news release.
"I have had an amazing eight years within the Ash Grove School District," Gerla said in the release. "I will always have a lot of love for the people of Ash Grove and look forward to finishing the 2023-24 school year as another success."
In Mountain Grove, he'll succeed Superintendent Jim Dickey, who is retiring.
Gerla has 25 years of education experience, with 19 as an administrator, according to a separate news release.
