Ozark chamber names interim director

Posted online
The Ozark Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors selected one of its owns to serve in the interim as it seeks a successor for exiting Executive Director Dori Grinder.

Jane Paul, co-owner of Ozark indoor gun range Sound of Freedom USA LLC, stepped in today to temporarily lead the organization. Grinder, who joined the chamber as its executive director in 2010, started today as membership manager for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, according to a news release.

Paul will take a sabbatical as a member of the Ozark chamber board until a new executive director is chosen. She’ll spend three to five hours a day, five days a week in the role.

“This staff is hard working, and I look forward to the opportunity to step in and help maintain the high standards of the Ozark chamber,” Paul said in the release.

The board’s selection committee currently is working to identify candidates for the job. Posted on the chamber’s website, the application deadline is Nov. 6.
