Among the 80 artists in the Sept. 16-17 Cider Days, silversmith Kara Hayes of Irie Elements Jewelry is a Best of Show winner. About 15,000 people attended the Walnut Street festival with arts, crafts, performances, food and apple cider. Other top awards went to Robert and Ruth Clay of Corvus Moon Pottery for the Award of Excellence and painter Elaine Johnson of Elaine in the Membrane as the Outstanding Regional Artist.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
