Web Summit CEO Paddy Cosgrave has resigned after several Big Tech companies withdrew from the company’s upcoming annual technology conference.
The companies, including Alphabet and Amazon, took issue with Cosgrave's recent comments on the Israel-Hamas war.
"War crimes are war crimes even when committed by allies, and should be called out for what they are," Cosgrave said in an Oct. 13 X post, referring to Israel.
Cosgrave also has denounced the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas militants.
