Washington University appoints leader for new public health school

Washington University in St. Louis has appointed a leader for its new public health school.

Epidemiologist Dr. Sandro Galea is taking on the role starting Jan. 1. He's currently dean of Boston University’s School of Public Health.

Washington University's School of Public Health, the college's first new school in 100 years, is slated to launch in fall 2026.
