State Farm suffers worst car insurance losses ever

In 2016, State Farm Insurance lost more money insuring cars than it ever has in its 95-year history.

In total, the losses came to $7 billion.

The latest amount was 63 percent higher than $4.4 billion in auto underwriting losses in 2015.
