Spring 2008 Project Report: Parkview High School

Posted online

Crossland Construction Co. Inc. of Columbus, Kan, is the general contractor for the $8.3 million renovation and addition to Parkview High for the Springfield R-XII School District. Lohmeyer-Russell PC is the architect for the project, and Mettemeyer Engineering is the structural and civil engineer. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Integrity Design Inc. is the interior designer. Phase II comprises a 49,000-square-foot addition to the school and renovating existing space to add classrooms and storage space. The project also entails the demolition of an existing classroom wing, replacing it with a new media center, cafeteria, kitchen and single-story classroom wing. Aaron Hight, project manager with Crossland, said crews are working on the windows, roof and brick exterior to enclose the facility so that interior work can move forward. This phase, part of the district’s 2006 bond project lineup, is scheduled for completion Aug. 15, just prior to the beginning of the 2008-09 school year, Hight said.[[In-content Ad]]
