Report: Cardinals owners may seek public funding for Busch Stadium upgrades

The ownership of the St. Louis Cardinals is reportedly considering an ask for public funding to improve Busch Stadium.

The River City Journalism Fund has reported that the ownership hopes to make renovations within the next five years and that public funding could be a component of the financing.

The report comes after a stadium tax in Kansas City for the Royals and Chiefs failed at the ballot box.
