Ozarks Technical Community College is making good on a promise to add technical programs at its Table Rock campus in Hollister.

Starting in fall 2018, Table Rock campus students can enroll in construction technology, heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, and computer information science classes, according to a news release.

The programs will be housed on 5.5 acres adjacent to the Table Rock campus. The OTC Board of Trustees last month approved a letter of intent with the city of Hollister to obtain the additional property, which contains structures. OTC spokesman Mark Miller said the details are being finalized.

"We anticipate that the agreement will involve a lease for a period of years with the intent to eventually purchase the property outright," he said via email. "So, bottom line, OTC and Hollister will enter into an agreement in time for the classes to begin in the fall of 2018."

OTC’s Table Rock campus, which opened in fall 2013, currently provides nursing, biological clinical science, biology, chemistry, arts and teaching degrees, according to its website.

“When the Branson School District voted to join the OTC taxing district in the spring of 2015, the college promised that we would bring career and technical training to the Table Rock campus,” OTC Chancellor Hal Higdon said in the release. “These new programs for the Table Rock campus are the college keeping its promise.”
