O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC opened its third Cambria Hotels & Suites property, the latest in the Phoenix market.
Dubbed Cambria Hotel North Scottsdale Desert Ridge, the property joins Springfield-based O’Reilly Hospitality’s other Cambria hotels in Plano and McAllen, Texas, according to a news release.
O’Reilly Hospitality’s 130-room Phoenix hotel marks the 35th property in Choice Hotels International Inc.’s Cambria portfolio.
“As we continue to expand the brand’s footprint in key urban markets, we’re thrilled to once again team with O’Reilly Hospitality Management to introduce the Cambria brand to the Phoenix area,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels, in the release.
O’Reilly Hospitality and Choice Hotels penned the deal in summer 2013 for the Cambria in the master-planned community of Desert Ridge, just north of Phoenix. The companies broke ground on the hotel in September 2013, though permitting issues caused delays, according to Springfield Business Journal reporting.
O’Reilly Hospitality’s website lists 24 properties completed and in development nationwide, including the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott under construction in Springfield. The list does not include O’Reilly Hospitality CEO Tim O’Reilly’s plans to renovate a downtown building into a boutique hotel under the Moxy Hotels brand.
Connected to Watkins Elementary School is a new storm shelter now under construction.
