Sound Advice Hearing Doctors LLC
Sound Advice Hearing Doctors LLC moved its Springfield store Sept. 2 to 4145 S. National Ave. in Twin Oaks Plaza. Filling some of the space left vacant in December by Christian Publishers Outlet, the Sound Advice owners more than doubled their previous hearing aid store at Fox Grape Plaza. Dr. Chase Britton, who owns the business with Drs. Brian Vesely, Tony Asay and Michael Steer and Mike Powell, said the showroom-styled store is key to Sound Advice’s new sales model. Similar to cellphone displays, Sound Advice hearing aids are viewable and accessible by customers with staff on hand to answer questions. The owners lease 3,200 square feet from Post Time Properties LLC for undisclosed terms. Selling products from the six largest hearing aid manufacturers, services range from $900 to $2,500. Sound Advice also operates stores in Hollister and Branson West, as well as the Arkansas market. The Springfield store employs eight.

Uvanta co-founder Michael Counts, who retains ownership of Guardian Pharmacy of Missouri and serves as its president, said the deal allows him to focus on the company’s customers. With 30 employees, Guardian Pharmacy of Missouri delivers medications to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities within a three-hour radius of Springfield. Dynamic Body LLC
Lindsay French moved Dynamic Body LLC on Sept. 6 after five years operating the yoga and Pilates studio at 3464 S. Campbell Ave. Dynamic Body bought an 8,000-square-foot building from Mercy for an undisclosed amount at 1344 E. Woodhurst Drive. Manager Erin Hession said the studio employs one full time and one part-time employee, in addition to 24 therapists working as independent contractors. Services include TRX suspension training, Gyrotonic classes and barre workouts, as well as massages, pedicures and acupuncture. The average class price is around $20 a person, and therapy costs around $75 per session, Hession said. A retail section sells fitness apparel and accessories, as well as essential oils and skin care. French originally opened the studio in Green Circle Shopping Center.
