KPM CPAs PC hired Lora Williamson as firm administrator. She previously worked at KPM as a senior accountant, before serving as chief financial officer for more than 15 years at Justice Jewelers Inc. Williamson oversees all administrative functions for KPM.

Athletics
Missouri State University hired Dana Ford as men’s basketball head coach to succeed Paul Lusk, who was released. Ford previously coached at Tennessee State University, where he led the men’s basketball team for four years, earning a 72-50 record during his tenure.

Banking & Finance
Forbes Magazine’s 2018 America’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list ranked Seth Murray of Ameriprise Financial as third in Missouri and Greg DeLong of Morgan Stanley as 27th in the state. With $1.5 billion in team assets managed, private wealth adviser Murray is the only adviser in southwest Missouri in the Top 10. DeLong, a senior vice president and financial adviser whose team manages $208 million in assets, is the only other Springfield representative from Missouri on the list.

Andy Drennen
, vice president and portfolio manager at Central Trust Co., earned a Master Planner Advanced Studies designation from the College for Financial Planning. According to the college, he’s one of four in Missouri with the designation, having completed a master’s degree in personal financial planning.

Cynthia Carson, vice president of operations at Sight & Sound Theatres, joined the board of directors at Branson Bank as an advisory director.

Education
The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks made the 2018 TripAdvisor Travelers’ list of the best 25 small hotels in the United States, earning a spot in the Top 10. The award is judged by customer experience, service, amenities and value.

Health Care
Sen. Bob Dixon, R-Springfield, presented a Silent Hero Award to Miles Yocom, an employee of Waterford Ironbridge senior-living center. Yocom is a transportation specialist being honored for professionalism, attitude and diligent care of residents at the facility.

Marketing
Branson-based Clear Entertainment and Marketing Group LLC won 38 awards from the American Advertising Federation, including 10 gold Addy awards, for photography, website and graphic design, and layout.

Municipal
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department named Steve Edwards, president and CEO of CoxHealth, as the honoree of its 2018 Harold K. Bengsch Award, which denotes collaboration and cross-sector approaches. Bengsch was the municipal health department’s longest serving director.

Nonprofit
The Council of Churches of the Ozarks elected five new board members for three-year terms: Mike Pruett, the Rev. Bob Perry, Joe Costello, Anitra Appleby and Linda Merkling.

The Johnny Morris Foundation named Bryan Nadeau as vice president of conservation attractions. He leads operations of the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium, as well as the 10,000-acre Dogwood Canyon Nature Park in Lampe. Nadeau previously worked for 22 years as an executive at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.

Zachary Towe
, a financial analyst for Guaranty Bank, and Cristian Rath, a staff accountant for Abacus CPAs LLC, were elected to the Champion Athletes of the Ozarks board of directors.

Harmony House named seven new members to its board of directors: Shelly Addington, Kevin Dunaway, Kim Horton, Stacey James, Curtis Jared, Rich Kramer and Lindsey Lund. Each will serve an initial three-year term.

The Arc of the Ozarks promoted program services Vice President Tim Dygon to executive vice president and moved autism programs Director Alisa Lowry into his previous post. Dygon has been with the organization for 11 years, and Lowry has had a 14-year stint.
