Architecture

Two Butler, Rosenbury & Partners intern architects received their architecture licenses. Brian Wells and Laura Daugherty are each now licensed by the Missouri Division of Professional Registration to practice architecture. Wells graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Architecture and has been with BRP for nearly two years. Daugherty graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor of Architecture, and has been with BRP since June 2002. Both are members of the American Institute of Architects.

Community

Developmental Center of the Ozarks hired Marisa DeClue as development and public relations director for the center and Laura Skiles as public relations and event coordinator. DeClue develops all agency and program marketing and public relations activities. DeClue previously worked in similar capacity for Springfield Pregnancy Care Center and the Greater Ozarks Chapter of the American Red Cross. Skiles is a former teacher, and her duties include grant writing and event planning.

Construction

Brett Godfrey of Built By Brett earned certified green professional accreditation from the National Association of Home Builders. Godfrey incorporates green building practices into both remodeling and new construction residential projects.

Floral

Wickman’s Garden Village owner Glenn Kristek attended the 84th annual International Society of Arboriculture Conference and Trade Show in St. Louis, where he learned about tree-care trends, including proper planting and maintenance practices.

Health Care

CoxHealth added two physicians to its staff. Dr. Staci Niemoth joined Ferrell-Duncan Clinic Obstetrics and Gynecology. She earned her medical degree from St. Louis University and completed her residency at Ohio State University. Niemoth is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association. Dr. Kelly Wright joined Northside Pediatrics and Adolescents. Wright earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed her residency with University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. Thomas A. Martin, a psychologist with Missouri Rehabilitation Center, received the 2008 National Academy of Neuropsychology Early Career Service Award. The honor is given annually to one neuropsychologist who has made substantial contributions to the field within the first 10 years of receiving a doctorate. Martin is board certified in both clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.

Shawn Andreasen, a registered nurse and assistant nurse manager of Lake Regional Health System’s Emergency Department, received the Missouri Emergency Nurse Educator of the Year award from the Missouri State Council Emergency Nurses Association.

Holly Shuler, physical therapist with Citizens Memorial Healthcare, passed the National Physical Therapy Examinations to become a licensed physical therapist. Shuler graduated in May from Southwest Baptist University with a doctorate in physical therapy.

Four CMH long-term care facilities earned the Health Care Facility Management Safety Performance Award. The facilities are Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo and Community Springs Healthcare Facility in El Dorado Springs.
