The Missouri State University Foundation raised $19.5 million in fiscal 2017, its second-highest total to date.
The latest figure beat fiscal 2016’s $18 million but fell short of the $20.3 million record set in fiscal 2012, according to a news release.
During the fiscal year, 21,992 donors contributed to scholarships and programs, faculty research and facilities enhancement projects. Among the largest donations was the
Kindrick family’s gift of an 80-acre farm near Springfield-Branson National Airport to the school’s Darr College of Agriculture.
“While we are grateful for one of the best years in the history of the foundation, we are really celebrating the impact these gifts have on students, faculty, staff and the entire state,” MSU Foundation Executive Director Brent Dunn said in the release.
