Missouri lawmakers pass texting-while-driving rule

Missouri lawmakers have passed new legislation designed to target texting while driving.

The legislation applies if someone is texting while driving and committing another traffic offense, such as speeding or running a stop sign.

Missouri and Montana are the only states without complete bans on texting while driving.
