The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services so far has collected more than $3 million from medical marijuana application fees.
The state received fees for 418 pre-filed application forms. Of those, 226 were for dispensary licenses, 128 were for cultivation facilities and 64 were for marijuana-infused manufacturing plant licenses.
The names of the companies, which can seek multiple licenses, are being kept secret. The department is not officially accepting applications until August, but companies may pre-pay the nonrefundable application fee before that time.
