Joplin School Board approves demolition of elementary building

The Joplin Board of Education approved the demolition of Columbia Elementary School.

The board gave the green light to roughly $280,800 in bids for asbestos removal and demolition.

Students who previously attended the school now go to Dover Hill Elementary School. Dover opened in January.
