Gov. Eric Greitens signed an executive order yesterday creating a task force assigned with shrinking the state's number of boards and commissions.
“Government is too big, too slow and works too poorly. This task force will shrink government and make it work better for the people,” Greitens said.
Greitens is said to be taking this approach instead of filling 1,200 vacant positions on 200 state commissions.
