Project description: Mercy officials and construction crews broke ground a year ago for the project modeled after the specialty clinic in Branson, which is scheduled to open Nov. 5, said Mercy spokeswoman Sonya Kullmann. At the groundbreaking, officials said health system data showed thousands of Bolivar patients drove to Springfield for specialty care in 2016: 4,000 patients for imaging studies and another 2,000 for endoscopies or other gastrointestinal procedures. Kullmann said Pitt Development Group owns the 3-acre property and building in south Bolivar at the intersection of state highways 13 and 83. Mercy began operating a primary/urgent care clinic in Bolivar in 2017, and Kullmann said officials have yet to decide if it’ll move into the new building.
