Project description: Ryan Stemmons, a real estate representative for Aldi U.S., said the store features high ceilings, natural lighting, recycled building materials and energy-saving refrigeration. The new store will be Aldi’s fifth in the Springfield area and 72nd in Missouri for the German-based discount grocery chain, according to Aldi.us. With over 1,400 stores nationwide, Aldi plans to open 130 stores a year over the next several years, according to company representatives.
