Foot Locker Inc. announced it would close 165 stores this year.
It also announced it would spend $275 million on capital spending this year as it seeks to improve its existing stores.
The company's shares rose after posting an analyst-beating $1.56 per share in quarterly profits. Revenue was nearly $3 billion.
