FDA puts Walgreens, Circle K on notice for tobacco sales

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to Walgreens and Circle K Stores Inc.

The companies were put on notice for allegedly selling tobacco products to minors repeatedly.

FDA officials said Walgreens is “currently the top violator among pharmacies that sell tobacco products, with 22 percent of the stores inspected having illegally sold tobacco products to minors.”
