Dollar Tree to assume Tuesday Morning lease

Posted online

It's out with one retailer and in with another at Brentwood Center South.

Chesapeake, Virginia-based Dollar Tree Inc. (Nasdaq: DLTR) is assuming the lease held by Tuesday Morning at the retail center, said Brentwood Center South owner Curtis Jared. Tuesday Morning has been in the process of closing stores in the wake of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year.

Jared provided a July 10 court notice in Tuesday Morning bankruptcy proceedings indicating Dollar Tree is taking over the lease at 2916 S. Glenston Ave. Dollar Tree, Five Below and Michaels are assuming the leases of several Tuesday Morning stores in multiple states, according to the court filing.

Jared said Dollar Tree would take over the Brentwood Center South lease at month's end.

Tuesday Morning's Brentwood Center South store is listed as permanently closed in its Google profile, and the phone number listed for the shop went unanswered this morning. Tuesday Morning Corp. (OTC: TUEMQ) began liquidation sales nationwide earlier this year after filing for bankruptcy, according to past reporting.
