A trio of events over the next month at the Branson Convention Center are expected to bring millions of dollars' worth of economic impact with them.
The 200 S. Sycamore St. convention center, which is managed by ASM Global, is all hands on deck for the events from Conklin Co., the Missouri Association of Manufacturers and the Missouri Beta Convention, according to a news release.
While economic impact figures have not been projected for this year, Branson Convention Center Sales and Events Director Jordan Cannefax provided data from the 2023 events.
Last year, the economic impact of the convention center events was roughly $4 million from the Missouri Beta Convention, $1.9 million for Conklin Co. and $600,000 for MAM, Cannefax said via email.
Officials said in the release that the event "will not only bring diverse and thrilling experiences to the community but also generate a positive economic impact for local businesses in the Branson and the greater Springfield area."
The Conklin Co. event is running Jan. 31-Feb. 4, followed by MAM's Feb. 20-21 trade show and conference and the Missouri Beta Convention youth education organization event Feb. 28-March 2, according to the release.
Moseley’s Discount Office Products was purchased; Side Chick opened in Branson; and the Springfield franchise store of NoBaked Cookie Dough changed ownership.
