The Greene County Commission has approved 51 awards in its latest American Rescue Plan Act grant round.
Small businesses were the recipients of $634,099 in grants awarded by the commission on Dec. 26, according to a news release.
“Small businesses and their employees are vital to our local economy and way of life and have been a top priority of the commission,” Commissioner John Russell said in the release. “They provide good jobs, services and products to our community, and a sense of connection that only comes from small business."
The top recipient, with a $29,500 grant, is Limo Land Inc., according to the release. Other businesses that received more than $20,000 are Strafford Sports Center LLC, at $29,000; Galloway Grill LLC, at $26,500; Bambinos Cafe, at $23,250; and Paragon Architecture LLC, at $23,250.
