10 Springfield-area companies make Inc. 5000

Ten Springfield-area companies ranked on the annual fast-growth Inc. 5000 list.

Released today by Inc. magazine, the list ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the United States based on 2013-15 revenue growth.

Leading the pack of local companies for the second consecutive year was GigSalad, a Springfield-based operator of an online booking platform for performers and event planners. Though GigSalad slid eight spots from last year, it was the only company in the immediate Springfield area in the top 1,000. Four companies on this year’s list that did not appear in 2015 are Paragon Architecture Inc., Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, Group Benefit Services Inc., The Payroll Co. and Everything Kitchens.

Houston-based Missouri Sun Solar LLC, which operates a Springfield office and has been active in local projects, ranked 156th on the list with three-year revenue growth of 2,327 percent on 2015 revenue of $9.8 million.

The top Missouri company was No. 89 Worth Clark Realty, a St. Louis business that posted 3,493 percent three-year growth and 2015 revenue of $5.1 million.

The Inc. 5000 was topped by California-based consumer products and services company Loot Crate, which reported three-year growth of 66,789 percent on $116.2 million in 2015 revenue.
